This is to inform the general public and all interested candidates about the Maritime Academy of Nigeria Notice on Resumption for Mandatory Courses. The management of Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron has announced that the institution will reopen for mandatory courses for seafarer’s certification. The resumption will be as follows:

- November 16th, 2020: Preparatory courses for Certificates of Competency (CoC) Examinations.
- November 16th, 2020: Mandatory short courses.
Guidelines for Resumption
The following are the announced guidelines all students are to obey as they resume school activities:
- Before entering into any classroom and other strategic locations within the academy, students are required to observe temperature checks daily.
- The Head of Health Services Department of the Academy has been positioned to be the chairman of the Task Force of COVID 19. He will play the role of organizing snap talks with participants on COVID 19 safety measures upon resumption of school activities.
- Students of Mandatory courses (both existing and prospective) are hereby informed that booking and payment for all categories of mandatory courses in the Academy will no longer be physical. An online platform has been provided at the website of the Academy and it can be accessed via maritimeacademy.gov.ng.
