Direct-Entry Admission Requirements

For admission into level 200, one of the following requirements must be satisfied:

Passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at GCA (A level) or equivalent.
Overall credit level pass at National Diploma (ND) in the relevant discipline and distinction passes in three subjects, including Mathematics.
Credit level passes in relevant subjects, including Mathematics at Higher National Diploma (HND).

SPECIAL ADMISSION (Three–Year Programme): Candidates with HND in relevant subjects, having obtained a minimum of Upper Credit, are admitted into Level 300.

Do BUK Offer JUPEB or IJMB Programme?

The advanced level programme candidates can apply for at the Bayero University Kano (BUK) is IJMB.

After an approved examination administered by the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), successful candidates are eligible for consideration for Direct Entry Admission into the undergraduate degree programmes of the Bayero University Kano (BUK) or any other University in Nigeria.

In addition to the ‘A’ Level qualifications stated above, applicants must possess all the necessary ‘O’ Level requirements applicable to regular full-time undergraduate admissions.

This means that credit in English is compulsory for all courses applied, while Mathematics is essential for science-based classes and the social sciences. Only candidates twenty-five (25) years of age and above would be admitted.

Candidates with only ‘O’ level results need not apply. This is for candidates seeking a part-time Undergraduate degree with Greenfield University.

Note: the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is excluded from a part-time degree.
