JAMB Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into FUNAAB through the JAMB admission process for the 2024/2025 session are to meet the following criteria before applying;

Firstly, Candidates must score at least 160 in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
Applicant should ensure they choose FUNAAB as their first-choice institute. If otherwise, candidates are to make a change of institution before applying.
Applicants shall possess five minimum passes, including English and Mathematics in their O-level (SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE, OR ITS EQUIVALENT) in not more than two sittings.

Is it Called Remedial or Pre-Degree in FUNAAB?

FUNAAB offers a pre-degree program. It is a full-time program that runs for one year, a pre-matriculation program targeting 100-level admission into Management/Science and Agriculture courses. Additionally, candidates interested in a Pre-degree program can contact the school at inhurd@funaab.edu.ng.

Pre-Degree to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Criteria

Pre-degree holders looking to gain a full-time undergraduate admission at FUNAAB must meet the Departmental minimum entry requirement of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics and any of the following Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Physics at GCE O’ Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents at not more than two sittings.

Candidates must ensure they meet the required minimum final Pre-Degree exam cut-off marks for admission to the program of their choice. Also, ensure they meet the school’s JAMB entry requirements. Remedial to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking full-time undergraduate admission with a Remedial certificate at FUNAAB must meet the O-level and JAMB requirements (Check the JAB header above to find its requirements).

Direct-Entry Admission Requirements

For admission into FUNAAB through direct entry, applicants should ensure they meet the following criteria;

Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics at GCE O’ Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents at not more than two sittings.
Candidates who possess either (OND/HND/NCE) must submit their transcript or Certified True Copy of Statement of Results duly stamped by the Director/HOD of the institution they graduated from.
Candidates are expected to get a DE application form through JAMB. Also ensure to choose FUNAAB as their first-choice university.

Is it Called IJMB or JUPEB in FUNAAB?

FUNAAB offers an IJMB (A-level) program. It is a one-year program that helps students gain admission directly into the 200 level without having to write JAMB.

IJMB to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Candidates looking to gain full-time undergraduate admission into FUNAAB with an IJMB certificate. The school requires they meet the following criteria;

Candidates must possess at least 5 points for any science, paramedical, or administrative course.
Also, candidates interested in courses like law and medicine must have a minimum score of 13 points on their IJMB certificate.
Candidates must possess at least 8 points for Engineering courses.
Candidates are to apply through JAMB by getting a DE form. Furthermore, they ensure they meet all O-level and DE requirements.

JUPEB to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Prospective candidates interested in FUNAAB for a JUPEB to Full-time undergraduate admission must ensure they meet the required minimum cut-off points for admission to the program of their choice. This must include Level passes in passes in relevant subjects.

Note: Prospective candidates are advised to contact the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) at adekolaha@funaab.edu.ng for admission to the program they choose through the JUPEB Direct-Entry means.

Inter-University Transfer Undergraduate Admission Requirements

The Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) allows students to transfer from other universities to the school provided they satisfy the school’s O-level requirements, meet the JAMB criteria, and provide their current school admission letter.

FUNAAB Part-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

FUNAAB offers admission for part-time candidates through the following process;

JAMB: The JAMB admission process helps applicants interested in the part-time program gain admission into the 100 level.

Applicants must possess five O-level credit passes, including English language and Mathematics and three other courses relevant to the candidate’s choice of study at not more than two sittings.
Applicants must possess a minimum score of 180 on their UTME result. Additionally, some departments may require higher scores.

Direct Entry: The direct entry admission process allows applicants to gain admission into the 200-level provided they meet the school’s requirements.

OND/HND certificates with good grades in related courses from institutions recognized by the University.

FUNAAB Sandwich Undergraduate Admission Requirements

The Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has provided no information for a sandwich Undergraduate program on its website. Also, Candidates can visit the school website for other suitable programs offered by FUNAAB. Special/HND to Undergraduate Degree Top-Up Admission Requirements

FUNAAB Postgraduate Admission Requirements 2024/2025

FUNAAB Postgraduate education aims to impart specialized knowledge and skills leading to a high level of expertise in a specific field of agriculture, environmental sciences, engineering or the basic sciences.

Holders of HND Upper Credit and above, with a minimum of four years post-qualification experience, or lower credit with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience could also apply.

Master’s Degree

Candidates seeking admission for a Master’s degree at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) must meet the following requirements;

Candidates must be graduates of FUNAAB or any other recognized university and shall have obtained a minimum of second-class lower in the relevant field.

Additionally, to be eligible for the MBA (Agribusiness) and MICT (Master of Information Communication Technology) Degree Program, the candidate must be a First Degree holder in any discipline.

Doctoral Degree (PhD)

Candidates seeking admission for a PhD degree at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) must meet the following requirements;

Firstly, Candidates must have obtained a Master’s degree from the University or its equivalent from any other University recognized by the Senate in the field of specialization for which a PhD is being sought.
Holders of a year’s Master’s degree are expected to successfully undergo a conversion examination after the first session before proceeding to a PhD Program.
