The JAMB management has set some requirements and guidelines for the 2024CBT exam, and at the end of this article, we will give you the 2024 JAMB Computer Based Test (CBT) Centre Requirements and Guidelines.
JAMB 2024 UTME CBT Centre Requirements and Guidelines
Let’s go straight to the point and give you the JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre Requirements and Guidelines. They are as follows:
- A Centre should have at least 250 functional computers and 10% backup, which in this case is 25.
- Every student sitting for the exam must have an individual cubicle, which should be 26×18×18 inches.
- The monitor’s screen should be at least 15 inches for desktops and 17 inches for laptops. All systems must be connected to a server with up to 250 computers. The systems must also be linked with a LAN Cable.
- There should be a minimum of 5 tech workers and one networking engineer. There should also be a set of generator cables for powering 250 computers in case of backup.
- The Centre should be well-fenced and not be shared with buildings in markets, malls, cinemas, and the like.
- There must be a functional air conditioner and good lighting.
- The computers must be Windows 7 or up to date, and antivirus programs must be installed and activated.
- The examination halls must have a functioning CCTV network.
- Examination halls must have functioning wall clocks that are correctly placed and can be visible to all students from any angle or wing.
- Centres should be functioning and maintained throughout the year, not just the examination period.
- The JAMB customer browser should be installed and activated before the exam.
Lastly, if your centre meets all these requirements, you should register at the JAMB official website. Your centre will have three officials inspecting the exam.
