JAMB Admission Requirements

Applicants who seek admission into Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) through the JAMB entry process should ensure they meet the following requirements;

Candidates must possess a Credit pass in five (5) subjects, including English and Mathematics in O-level result, obtained at not more than two sittings.
A minimum score of 160 in the 2024 UTME.

Direct-Entry Admission Requirements

Candidates who meet the following requirements will be eligible for a DE admission at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU).

Candidates must possess a Credit pass in five (5) subjects, including English and Mathematics in O-level result, obtained at not more than two sittings.
Candidates must possess an A-level, OND, HND, or NCE certificate. Or a diploma certificate from OOU or other recognised institutions with a minimum upper credit.
Candidates are to apply for a Direct Entry form through JAMB.

Is it Called IJMB or JUPEB in OOU?

OOU offers a JUPEB A-level program. The program will give candidates that participate the opportunity to gain admission through DIRECT ENTRY into programs in Colleges of Agricultural Sciences, Engineering and Environmental Studies, Health Sciences, Faculties of Arts, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Education, Law, Pharmacy, Science and Social and Management Sciences in Olabisi Onabanjo University or any university of their choice.

IJMB to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Prospective candidates seeking full-time undergraduate admission with an IJMB certificate must ensure they have at least 5 points (general IJMB cut-off point) in their IJMB certificate. Also, ensure they have the right subject combination relevant to their choice of study and satisfy the school’s O-level requirements.

Teacher’s Grade II Certificate at not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics or Arithmetic. However, Chemistry and Physics are not compulsory for candidates applying for B.Sc. (Agric Cooperative and Management).

Suppose you seek full-time postgraduate admission at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) for the 2024/2025 academic session. The school offers multiple full-time degrees, which are;

Candidates seeking admission for a Postgraduate diploma degree at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) must meet the following requirements;

Graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University or any other Senate-approved University at not less than Third Class level.
Holders of Higher National Diploma at not less than Lower Credit level

Master’s Degree Programme

Applicants for admission into the Master’s degree Program must possess:

It is not lower than the Second Class Honours (Lower Division) Degree of Olabisi Onabanjo University or any other Senate-approved university in relevant disciplines.

Doctoral Degree (PhD) Programme

Applicants for admission into the Doctoral Degree (PhD) Program must possess:

Candidates with a degree of Masters in the relevant discipline from Olabisi Onabanjo University with a CGPA of 3.5 and above shall proceed directly to the Ph.D. program.
Candidates from Olabisi Onabanjo University with Cumulative Grade Points of 3.00 to 3.49 shall be admitted provisionally to the PhD program pending the conversion of the student after two semesters into the program. Such candidates must offer and pass prescribed courses with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 to proceed to PhD.
Candidates from other Universities with Master’s degrees in relevant disciplines with a CGPA of 3.0 and above shall be admitted provisionally to the M.Phil/Ph.D. program pending the conversion of the student after two semesters into the program. Such candidates must offer and pass prescribed courses with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 to proceed to PhD.
