Generally, this article is to inform all interested and eligible candidates that, the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) School of Post Basic Midwifery Entrance Examination which was initially scheduled to take place on Saturday, 26th of September 2020, has now been postponed and scheduled on a new date – Saturday 3rd of October, 2020.

It should be noted that while the sales of the UBTH School of Post Basic Midwifery Admission Form for the 2020/2021 Academic Session is currently ongoing, the deadline date for the sales of the admission form is Friday, 2nd of October 2020.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to gain admission into the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) School of Post Basic Midwifery programme for the 2020/2021 academic session which will take place for the duration of eighteen (18) months, interested candidates are required to meet certain eligibility criteria. Below are the following eligibility criteria and requirements:
Candidate must have five (5) credits in relevant subjects in not more than two sittings of any of the following Senior Certificate Examination: WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, SSCE, or GCE. These relevant subject must include, English language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry
Candidate must be a qualified nurse who is appropriately registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
Note The Following
- Sales of forms which commenced on the 9th of March, 2020 and was initially scheduled to close on 26th September 2020 has been postponed to 2nd of October, 2020
- Application forms must be purchased from the office of the Principal/Head of Department, School of Midwifery, UBTH.
- Candidates will be responsible for their accommodation and feeding during the period of the examination
- Candidates are advised that the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) does not sell the school of midwifery application forms online.
- Application forms that have been completed should be submitted to the institution before the deadline date
Candidates are encouraged to come to the venue with original and photocopies of their credentials.
The entrance exam will hold on Saturday, 3rd of October, 2020 at 8:00 am while the selection interview will hold on Tuesday, 6th of October, 2020 at 11:00 am. The venue of these events is the UBTH School of Midwifery, Benin City.
Application Process
Application forms for admission into the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) School of Post Basic Midwifery programme for the 2020/2021 academic session are to be obtained from the office of the Principal/Head of Department (School of Midwifery) by presenting proof of payment.
A non-refundable fee of Six Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N6, 500) only which is only payable to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Accounts with TSA under the service type: Training School of Midwifery via the REMITA Platform in any bank in Nigeria.
